Air Fryer Medu Vada

Crispy and fluffy South Indian medu vadas made easily in the air fryer using ready-to-use or fermented batter with minimal oil.

Ingredients

  • Medu Vada Batter (ready-to-use / in-house fermented) – 200–220g
  • Oil – 20ml

Directions

  1. Add oil into the medu vada batter and mix well.
  2. Lightly grease your hands and shape the batter into vadas (donut shape).
  3. Place the shaped vadas in a greased air fryer basket.
  4. Lightly brush or spray oil on top of the vadas.
  5. Select Air Fry Mode at 180°C for 15 minutes and press START/STOP.
  6. Flip halfway through for even cooking (optional but recommended).
  7. Cook until golden and crisp.
  8. Serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
