Chana daal vada
Crispy and flavorful fritters made from coarsely ground chana dal, spiced with herbs and chillies, perfect as a crunchy tea-time snack.

Ingredients
- Overnight soaked chana dal – 150–170 gm (100 g – raw)
- Ginger (grated) – 5 gm / 1 tsp
- Green chilli (finely chopped) – 10 g / 1–2 pc medium size
- Whole cumin – 5 gm
- Curry leaves – 2 string / 5 gm
- Coriander leaves – 10 gm
- Hing – a pinch
- Salt – to taste
- Oil for spray/brush
Directions
- Drain off the water completely, transfer this into grinder jar.
- Add all other ingredients together (apart from curry leaves and coriander leaves).
- Grind to a coarse paste without adding any water.
- Transfer this mixture into bowl, mix it well with finely chopped coriander leaves and curry leaves.
- Now take a small portion of paste, give it shape of vada, assemble these on air fryer basket.
- Spray/brush oil over it. Insert the basket into unit.
- Select AIRFRY function at 180°C for 15min. Press start.
- Serve hot with choice of dip/chutney.
