Crispy, flaky and layered khari made from scratch using maida and a simple laminating paste. Perfect as a tea-time snack.

Ingredients

  • Maida-250g
  • Oil-30ml
  • Salt-to taste
  • Ajwain-1 tsp
  • Water-as required
  • Layering Paste: Maida-45g
  • Corn Flour-45g
  • Oil-80ml

Directions

  1. Mix maida,salt,ajwain and oil.
  2. Add water and knead smooth dough.
  3. Rest for 20 min.
  4. Prepare layering paste using maida,corn flour and oil.
  5. Roll dough and spread layering paste.
  6. Fold and laminate.
  7. Rest 15-20 min.
  8. Roll and cut into desired shapes.
  9. Select roast function at 180°C for 15 min until golden and flaky.
  10. Cool and serve.
