Crispy, golden onion rings made with a seasoned batter and breadcrumb coating, air fried until crunchy.

Ingredients
- Large onion as required
- Refined flour ½ cup
- Cornflour ⅓ cup;
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper a pinch
- Garlic powder 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder 2 tsp
- Baking powder ½ tsp
- Cold water as required; Oil 1 tbsp;
- Breadcrumbs 1 cup;
- Salt to season breadcrumbs;
- Black pepper to season breadcrumbs;
- Oil as required for spraying
Directions
Peel the onion and cut it into thick rings. Separate the rings carefully.
In a bowl, combine refined flour, cornflour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, red chilli powder and baking powder.
Gradually add cold water and whisk to make a smooth, slightly thick batter. Add 1 tbsp oil and mix well.
Place breadcrumbs in a separate bowl and season with salt and black pepper.
Dip each onion ring into the batter, allowing excess batter to drip off. Coat evenly with breadcrumbs.
Arrange the coated onion rings in a single layer on crisper tray and lightly spray with oil.
Air fry for 7 minutes. Flip the onion rings, lightly spray with oil again and air fry for another 3 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
